Dita Plepa studied law at the University of Latvia. In 2011, she was awarded a master’s degree in law. Her specialism is constitutional law and administrative law, as well as issues of legal theory.
At present she is a doctoral student at the University of Latvia, Faculty of Law programme of legal science researching the procedure for managing State budget resources and monetary and fiscal policy.
In 2008, Dita Plepa started working as the senior desk-officer with the Department of the Court of Justice of the European Union, Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Latvia. Since 2009 Dita Plepa has been working at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Latvia. In addition to this, since 2012 she teaches ‘Legal Methods’ at the Faculty of Law, Riga Stradins University. She is one of author of the monograph International Encyclopaedia of Laws (IEL) for constitutional law in Latvia (Kluwer Law International).
